Global Faculty Initiative book launch - Justice and Rights: Nicholas Wolterstorff in Dialogue with the University

Come and hear from world-class scholars about justice, scholarship, and Christian faith, at the Global Faculty Initiative's book launch for Justice and Rights: Nicholas Wolterstorff in Dialogue with the University, edited by Terence C. Halliday and K.K. Yeo.

This event marks the first publication for GFI and offers an exciting opportunity to celebrate the valuable scholarly work undertaken by our network of over 170 Christian scholars at research-led universities worldwide in recent years. We're also looking forward to engaging a broader audience of academics and researchers with the work of GFI and the Pastorate.

[Please note that due to technical reasons, we are no longer able to offer the Online ticket option for this event]

Joining us virtually, Professor Nicholas Wolterstorff (Yale) will discuss the importance of integrating questions of justice within Christian scholarship. Following this, and remarks from Co-editor, Professor Terry Halliday (Sociology, American Bar Association) we will host a panel discussion and Q&A chaired by Dr Bethan Willis featuring contributors:

  • Professor John Coffey (History, Leicester)
  • Mr Donald Hay (Economics, Oxford)
  • Professor Lorna Smith (Chemistry, Oxford)
  • Professor Dinesha Samararatne (Law, Colombo, Sri Lanka) also virtually.

Together, they will explore key questions around the intersections of justice, scholarship and academic life.

Refreshments will be served, with time for conversation and networking with fellow attendees. Langham Publishing will also be there and attendees will have the option to purchase the book at an event discount.

We're looking forward to welcoming you to this exciting and thought-provoking event! Book your free ticket here.
